My name is Emma. I live and work in Stroud and the surrounding areas. For over nine years, I have studied and worked in mental health and wellbeing, supporting people in a variety of settings.
My experience includes working as a care assistant supporting older adults living with dementia, and as a support worker for young adults experiencing mental health difficulties. These roles have given me valuable insight into the challenges people face and the importance of compassionate, individualised support.
I am a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and I work within the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework. This ensures that I practise safely and ethically, with my clients’ wellbeing at the centre of my work.
As a person‑centred counsellor, I believe each person is the expert in their own life. My role is to offer a safe, accepting and supportive relationship where you can explore your experiences without judgement.
I am committed to ongoing professional development (CPD), ensuring my practice remains safe, ethical and informed by current knowledge.
I provide person‑centred counselling, offering a warm, non‑judgemental and confidential space where you can explore what matters most to you at your own pace.
Together, we can make sense of your thoughts and feelings, strengthen self‑trust and self‑esteem, and find a way forward that feels right for you. With compassion, empathy and curiosity, I offer support through difficult times, whether you’re facing long‑standing challenges or something more recent and unexpected.
Together, we can explore what’s going on and begin to understand your experiences in a way that feels safe and supportive.
We all experience times when life feels difficult or out of our control, and everyone deserves the opportunity to talk, be heard and feel understood.
